Artificial Flower Hire Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to the hire of artificial flowers and decorative items from Crafting Blooms (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By making a booking through our website, email, social media, or telephone, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

We provide artificial flower and decorative item hire for:

  1. Funerals / Memorials
  2. Special Events (Corporate or Private)
  3. Weddings

Our services include delivery and collection within the Portsmouth mainland area (excluding Isle of Wight) only unless otherwise agreed.

Portsmouth covers the venue being in a PO postcode area (excluding Isle of Wight).

2. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when:

  1. A non-refundable booking fee is paid, and
  2. Written confirmation is issued by us.

Until confirmation is provided, availability is not guaranteed.

3. Payment Terms

  1. A non-refundable booking fee secures your date.
  2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 2 days before the event.
  3. A refundable security deposit will be required before delivery.

Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking.

All prices are in GBP (£).

4. Security Deposit

Where applicable, a refundable security deposit covers:

  1. Damage
  2. Loss or theft
  3. Missing items
  4. Excessive staining
  5. Late return issues

The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after collection and inspection, less any deductions.

If loss or damage exceeds the deposit, the remaining amount must be paid within 14 days of invoice.

5. Delivery & Collection

Delivery and collection within the Portsmouth area are included unless otherwise stated.

The Customer must:

  1. Provide safe and clear access to the venue
  2. Ensure items are accessible at agreed collection time
  3. Inform us of any venue restrictions

Additional charges may apply for:

  1. Delays
  2. Restricted access
  3. Locations outside Portsmouth
  4. Out-of-hours collection

6. Use & Care of Hired Items

All hired items remain our property at all times.

The Customer agrees:

  1. Not to alter, cut, glue, paint, or modify any items in any way
  2. Not to expose items to open flames, fireworks, or heat sources
  3. To take reasonable care of items during the hire period
  4. To ensure items are secure during outdoor use

Items must be used for decorative purposes only.

7. Responsibility & Liability

The Customer is responsible for hired items from delivery until collection.

We are not responsible for:

  1. Weather-related issues after installation
  2. Venue-related damage
  3. Injury or damage caused by misuse

Our total liability shall not exceed the total hire fee paid.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud.

8. Cancellations

If you cancel:

  1. The booking fee is non-refundable.
  2. Cancellations within 2 days of the event may require full payment.

If we must cancel due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, all payments made will be refunded. Liability is limited to the amount paid.

9. Substitution Clause

In rare cases where items become unavailable due to damage or unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute items with similar styles of equal value.

10. Photography

We may photograph our arrangements at your event for marketing and social media use unless you notify us in writing prior to the event.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  1. Severe weather
  2. Government restrictions
  3. Venue closure
  4. Natural disasters

12. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably.

If resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

14. Privacy & Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
